Angela has been assisting individuals and businesses with their accounting and tax needs for 30 years.
While in college, she completed bookkeeping, payroll and sales tax returns for a local CPA firm in Tallahassee, Florida. After graduating from The Florida State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, she started working with Deloitte & Touche as a CPA and staff auditor. Later, she joined Ryder Corporation as an internal auditor. In 1997, she decided to focus on tax services and joined a local CPA firm in Boca Raton, Florida while beginning a Master of Science in Taxation at Florida International University. She earned her Masters degree in 1998.
For over 10 years at this local firm, she handled many complex tax issues as she helped individuals and businesses with their accounting and tax needs. She prepared and reviewed federal and state returns with an emphasis in estate and gift, fiduciary, partnership, S corporations and individual taxation. She performed tax research and investigated and responded to tax notices and audits. She worked closely with her clients and they could always count on her to give them personal, hands-on help. As primary preparer and reviewer of most of the estate and gift returns in the office, she also successfully handled the related I.R.S. audit. She worked with trust and estate accounting issues and administration. As Tax Manager, she was a supervisor and trainer of staff members. She developed standard workpapers and internal control procedures for the tax section and also created a client estate planning organizer. In July 2007, she joined Berkowitz Dick Pollack & Brant in Ft. Lauderdale as a Tax Manager. In October 2007, she started her own firm and continues to focus on accounting and tax by delivering personal attention to her clients.
